Frustrated by the lack of accessible classical music education in inner city communities, in 2004 Dale joined the Community Music Center of Boston, a school long dedicated to making quality classical music education available to all. He served as the cello faculty there until 2008, during which time he also concertized extensively with Vermont based pianist Annemieke Spoelstra. The two took on a number of challenging programs including the complete Beethoven Sonatas, Shostakovich & Prokofiev Sonatas in a two concert cycle, and a performance of Schubert’s Arpeggione Sonata live on Vermont Public Radio (below).
