Yu-Ting Wu is a violinist from the Baltimore/Washington D.C. area. Born in Taichung, Taiwan, she moved with her family to Maryland at the age of four and began studying violin with her father. Yu-Ting has performed regularly in orchestras since the age of ten.
Though classically trained, Yu-Ting is well versed in all styles of music. She has performed with Baltimore-based chamber ensemble The American Virtuosi; rock band Crack the Sky; The Peacherine Ragtime Orchestra; variety dance/jazz/Latin band, Raggs & The All Stars; North American Frame Drum Association artists Yshai Afterman, Shane Shanahan, Patrick Graham, and Mac Ritchey.
Yu-Ting holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from California Institute of the Arts for violin performance under the tutelage of Mark Menzies and Lorenz Gamma. Yu-Ting can be found performing with Center Stage Opera, Zamira Quartet, American Youth Symphony, Waraynon Initiative Network Orchestra, and folk bands Brother, Sister and hooded eyes.
