MadSingers is a small classical a cappella singing group in the Hartford, CT area. Founded about 20 years ago by Peter Harvey, it meets each Wednesday morning 9:30-11:00 to explore a cappella gems from pre-Renaissance to yesterday. Mattie Banzhaf currently directs the 20-odd singers in a very informal format. MadSingers rarely perform in public, focusing on sightsinging and minimal polishing.
