On Bach’s 330th birthday in 2015, thousands of musicians in 150 cities in 40 countries joined Bach in the Subways. Among them, particularly in Korea, 176 performers and ensembles offered Bach’s music freely to the public in 12 locations such as Coex Mall.
Bach in the Subways shares our love and respect for music with people, and spreads the delight of classical music – how fun, exciting, and joyful it is to listen!
100% volunteer driven, all performances are entirely the result of the initiative and passion of the musicians & organizers involved. Be creative in exploring and finding venues, and also in arranging interesting ensembles! Solos, ensembles, flashmobs, Bach marathons are all encouraged.
