Faculty and students at the University of Utah perform Bach sonatas, suites, preludes&fugues, and arias in the beautiful Libby Gardner Concert Hall in Salt Lake City, Utah

Piano solo at 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Program of J.S. Bach keyboard works, G minor prelude and fugue No. 16 from Bk. 1 of the W.T.C and the E minor toccata, Siciliano and chorale prelude transcriptions and the Bach-Busoni Chaconne

I have always been a mediocre pianist because I never quite practiced much. But I would like to use this opportunity to up my level of playing and reducing my nerves playing in front of people.

As part of the regular Sunday service, Karin performs as a prelude Brahms’s arrangement of JS Bach’s Chaconne in d minor, and an an offertory, Busoni’s arrangement of JS Bach’s Andante Arioso, and as a postlude Henderson’s transcription of JS Bach’s Choral Prelude Es ist das Heil uns kommon her.
