Bach to the Future

Award winning international cellist Steve Kramer performing excerpts from the SIX CELLO SUITES, BWV 1007-1012, for  unaccompanied cello  by Johann Sebastian Bach.
The performance is a celebration and honoring of Steve Kramer’s first and formal teacher, the great Scandinavian cellist, Erling Bløndal Bengtsson who was a pupil and first assistant of the legendary cellist Gregor Piatigorsky, at Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia.

San Antonio Symphony Children’s Presentation at Parman Library

Join us at Parman Library for a mini-performance presented by the San Antonio Symphony’s Assistant Principal cellist David Mollenauer. “Symphony at SAPL” presentations generally last 40 minutes and are designed for children but easily enjoyed by the whole family. Get to know one of these incredibly-skilled artists and how they chose their instrument, how it works and how it makes a sound. Bring your questions too – and don’t be shy! This event is free and open to the public.

University of San Francisco Performing Artists (& Social Justice)

This was the plan but we are moving online, some are in different time zones now so may not be synchronous! (OLD : Performance will be roving the main campus starting with the USF Chamber Ensembles performing in Thacher – the Bach performances will begin approximately 12:15 in Thacher and then move to several sites in the vicinity of Gleeson Plaza and University Center.)
