Enjoy a brief recital of some of Bach’s most exciting and sublime keyboard music! As a soloist and chamber musician, harpsichordist Stephen Gamboa-Diaz has performed most recently with Elm City Consort, Chamber Music Silicon Valley, the Baroque Chamber Orchestra of Colorado, and the American Baroque Orchestra; and with his harpsichord duo, Zweikampf, for Michigan’s Academy of Early Music Series and Phoenix Early Music Society. He was a laureate of the 2012 Westfield International Harpsichord Competition, and his duo Zweikampf were finalists in Early Music America’s inaugural Baroque Performance Competition. Stephen completed his undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley under Davitt Moroney and Charlene Brendler, and his graduate work under Arthur Haas at SUNY Stony Brook at the Yale School of Music. When not playing harpsichord, Stephen Gamboa-Diaz is organist and choir director at Bethesda Lutheran Church in New Haven, CT and assistant for publications and communications at the Yale Institute of Sacred Music.

I’m a flute player and have played classical music since I was a kid. Performing as a street musician has always been a goal of mine so excited for this! I’ll play a medley of Bach solo music, both composed for flute as well as some other popular Bach tunes 🙂
