The Junior Bach Festival has participated in Bach in the Subways every year since 2015! In March 2024, we are proud to offer 11 in-person concerts throughout the Bay area, and virtual concerts via our website, www.juniorbach.org. The concert schedule and many free, educational resources may be found on the website. Since its founding in 1953 in Berkeley, The Junior Bach Festival has inspired thousands of young people to realize their musical potential and engaged the public’s cultural participation through concerts, radio broadcasts, and educational workshops. In 2023, Junior Bach Festival was nominated for “Best Festival” in the SFCV Audience Choice Awards. Young performers under age 20 are selected through an anonymous, professionally adjudicated, audition process. Many of those performers are eager to share Bach’s music with BART commuters!
