Come watch history in the making as the two East Coast – West Coast Bach performance rivals, “2Bach” and the “Notorious [D.O.]B.I.G.”, set aside all their differences and unite in common cause to celebrate Bach’s 332nd Birthday at the Fulton Center, in an epic performance of Prelude No. 1 in C Major and other Bach favorites.
Algoma Conservatory String Ensembles and STARS strings
This performance includes students, former students and colleagues of the Algoma Conservatory of Music, Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, Canada, and STARS (Soo Theatre Arts Resource Studio) in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan, USA. The ensembles are directed by Anya Mallinger in Canada, and Maggie Twining and Dottie Case in USA. Performers range in age from 7-adult.

Felix Hernandez- 10 Hour Bach Marathon at Union Station
Violinist/violist Felix Hernandez will be playing viola for BOTH the Coffee Cantata, as well as the Finale concert on March 18th, at Union Station Los Angeles. Felix also will be playing a solo set at 9:30 a.m.
Felix Hernandez has been interacting with the Viola for nearly 20 years.
His principal teachers include Janet Sims, Madeline Prager and Don Miguel Ruiz.
He performs with several ensembles in the Greater Los Angeles area including Debut Symphony Orchestra, Crown City Symphony, and Antelope Valley Symphony.
He has appeared as soloist in Harold in Italy with the Palisades Symphony and Hindemith’s Trauermusik with the String Orchestra Project.
Aside from maintaining private studios through several local musical schools he is a founding member of the Alchemy String Quartet and is a Teaching Artist with YOLA @ HOLA. He also enjoys long walks with his dog Icarus, and taking Croissant with Coffee in the morning.
