San Antonio Symphony at SAPL – Musician Presentation to Children

The San Antonio Symphony and San Antonio Public Library participate in Bach in the Subways with musician presentations to children at Pan American and Great Northwest Public Library Branches.  The featured musician at Pan American Branch is violinist Sarah Silver.  Join us for a lively afternoon with Ms. Silver as she shares her love of music as well as her experiences as a professional musician in the orchestra with children of all ages. Come and find out how much fun classical music, Bach in particular, can be!

Happy Birthday Bach Walk Concert: Patricia Wright

Patricia Wright, organist

Organ: 5-manual electro-pneumatic organ by Casavant (Metropolitan).

Refreshments (including a Bach Birthday Cake) will be offered after the concert by members of the Toronto Centre, Royal Canadian College of Organists.

3 locations- St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Church of the Holy Trinity, Metropolitan United Church

73 Simcoe Street; 10 Trinity Square; 56 Queen St. East

This ‘walking’ concert will begin at St. Andrew’s  Church with organist Daniel Bickle and soprano Lesley Bickle, will continue at the Church of the Holy Trinity with organist Ian Grundy, and will conclude at Metropolitan United Church with organist Dr. Patricia Wright. Following the Metropolitan performance, birthday cake will be provided by the Toronto Centre, Royal Canadian College of Organists.

The featured organs include a 3-manual mechanical action organ by Karl Wilhelm (St. Andrew’s), a 3-manual mechanical action organ by Casavant (Holy Trinity) and a 5-manual electro-pneumatic organ by Casavant (Metropolitan).Daniel Bickle, organist, Lesley Bickle, soprano; Ian Grundy, organist; Patricia Wright, organist
