A wide range of pieces will be performed including: Orchestral Suite No 2 BWV 1067, selected movements; Chorale no 23 from the Christmas Oratorio, BWV 248; Double Violin Concerto in D Minor, BWV 1043.
Local community musicians and choristers gather to sing and play the music of Bach. Whilst there are several set pieces in the program, many musicians register their individual performances on the day via a whiteboard system – it is always a surprising treasure trove of music/instruments.
