INSTRUMENT
My name is Emily Trask and I am extremely excited to be able to participate in Bach in the Subways Day 2015, as I feel passionately about its message and movement.
I began playing the cello at the age of 8 and have always been deeply moved by classical music.
I am professional actress, primarily on stage, with a tendency to focus on the classics. As a theatre artist I also work as a director, teacher, literary associate/dramaturg, and playwright/adaptor. I have found that my love for music and theatre are inextricably linked- – sometimes quite literarily, having played cello (as well sang and played other instruments) in a number of the plays I have done.
I have performed all across the country and here in New York where I make my home, and am delighted to play in the subways in Harlem on the morning of Bach’s birthday.
