Felix Hernandez is joining Bach in the Subway for the 2nd year running. He studied Viola at the University of the Pacific with Madeline Prager. He plays and concertizes throughout the Greater LA area. When questioned about how Bach’s music resounds with him personally he remarked, ” It would be difficult for a string player, and even more broadly, musicians in general not to be influenced by Bach’s music. Not only do his compositions represent a great achievement in their form and structure, but also their spiritually and musically unifying facets provide humanity with a frame of reference for our subjective ideas of beauty. They are pinnacles in many musicians experiences and resound with each us.” Felix will be playing at several sites throughout the day at Union Station and at the Central Library from 1:45pm-2:00pm.
