Brian Shih

Brian Shih currently a freshman at Stockdale High School. He started playing violin at age of 4. He participated in Strolling Strings for three years. Bakersfield Youth Symphony Orchestra three years and as a member of BYSO, Brian was selected in Quartet group to performed at Kern Valley public radio station in year of 2017 and 2018 he performed violin solo and duet with his brother Phillip Shih. Kern County Honor Orchestra for three years and concert master all three times. Kern County Solo and Ensemble for the past six years awards Commands Performance Recital at California State University of Bakersfield. All State Jr. High Honor Choir 2016 and 2017. All State High School’s Honor orchestra 2018 at San Jose.

Juliette Hurel and Joséphine Olech

We will play some duets for 2 flutes, we are the 2 first flutes of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra. It is also a good moment to let people know about my new CD “Bach” called “inspiration” and about a concert in Rotterdam on the 21st of april.

Ian Kim

Ian is currently a freshman at Stockdale High School. He started playing the violin at age 3. He has participated in Strolling Strings for three years, Bakersfield Youth Symphony for two years, Kern County Honor Orchestra for three years, Kern County Solo and Ensemble Festival, California State Solo and Ensemble Festival, Montecito International Music Festival, and the Wildwood Music Camp. Ian has also played on the television network 3ABN alongside Isaac, his brother.

Isaac Kim

Isaac Kim is a junior at Stockdale High School. He started his violin lessons and also performed in public at age 3. Isaac has participated in school orchestras for the last 8 years, Strolling Strings for 5 years, Bakersfield Youth Symphony since 2013, Kern County Honor Orchestra since 2011, Southern State Honor Orchestra, CODA Strings Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra, All State Honor Orchestra, Kern County Solo and Ensemble Festival, California State Solo and Ensemble Festival, Colburn School Recital, Montecito International Music Festival, Wildwood Music Camp, and Idyllwild Music Festival. He has served as concertmaster and has been given numerous awards, command performances and scholarships. He has also appeared on television network, 3ABN, and Valley Public Radio programs. Isaac is the winner of 2017 Young Artist Competition and performed as a soloist with the Tehachapi Symphony Orchestra. He also performed as a soloist in the Young People’s Concert with the Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra.

Giana Park and Christina Xin

Giana, who was born in 2003, is a freshman at Stockdale High School and a member of the Symphonic Orchestra. She started playing the violin at age 6 and joined Ronald Reagan Elementary School’s advanced orchestra at age 8 (third grade). She participated in Strolling Strings (4 years), Kern County Honor Orchestra (3 years), CMEA Solo and Ensemble Festival, and has been a part of Bakersfield Youth Symphony Orchestra for two years. Other than playing the violin, Giana loves to draw and appreciates the arts. Christina Xin was born in 2003 and raised in Bakersfield, CA. The first instrument she became interested in was the piano. She took her first lessons when she was five. In the third grade, Christina began violin lessons, and joined the advanced orchestra at her school. As she entered seventh grade, she became much more active in other music programs, such as Kern County Honor Orchestra, Strolling Strings, and CMEA Solo Ensemble Festival. Now, as a freshman at Stockdale High School, Christina has joined the school’s Symphonic Orchestra. Outside of the Symphonic Orchestra, she has also joined the Bakersfield Youth Symphony Orchestra. Besides her passion for the violin, Christina is also a part of her school’s Girls’ Varsity Golf Team.
