SEGE “Seh-geh” (Seattle Eastside Guitar Ensemble) is a group of classical guitar enthusiasts, professional and amateur, who enjoy playing and performing together. SEGE includes guitarists: Bob Baskerville, Peter Caruso, Tan Che, Scott Chung, Matt Klassen, Cathlyn Klassen, Jessica Papkoff, and Lawrence Schwedler.
SEGE means “world” in Korean, which reflects the diverse backgrounds of members. We make many of our own guitar arrangements. Meeting 1-3 times per month, we share music and food, accompanied by humor. In Summer, we enjoy Bob’s Guitar-b-cue; In the Fall we go on a weekend retreat, to play, work on performances and relax. We prepare for the Seattle Classical Guitar Society holiday concert, which occurs each December.
