In the cultural melting-pot that is Melbourne, the Australian Bach Society will be celebrating Johann Sebastian’s birthday in the heritage shopping arcade Block Arcade, more specifically in The Dome with its brilliant acoustics. A number of performers will present Bach in both historical and new contexts. Hear Bach’s music on instruments ranging from 18^th century replicas to much newer and culturally diverse instruments, thus demonstrating the timelessness and diversity of Bach.
